It did feel slightly awkward being a solo traveller. There seemed always to be an assumption that I should have a partner. In Europe women of all ages travel alone and it is slightly uncomfortable to feel I have to keep explaining that there is just one of me and I don’t want 2 coffees or two towels etc.

Nice experience
