comfortable, clean, convenient

very comfortable stay. shower one of the best we've had in bangkok. small fridge in room, and kettle which was appreciated. excellent a/c. wifi ok, but had some difficulty staying connected at times. front desk staff kind but limited english. door man had a lovely smile and was helpful in finding us a taxi that would agree to use the meter. most of the taxis available outside the hotel, including the moto taxis, will quote rates several times more than the actual cost would be. best to start walking and flag down a cab. ride to bumrungrad hospital was only 39 baht vs the 150 baht i was quoted. always insist on the meter, and don't waste your time negotiating. to bangkok hospital, i paid 50 baht, with a 5 minute stop at a tailor shop so the taxi driver could get a gas coupon (you help me, i help you madam). meter would probably have been same price.
