I booked this hotel bcz it stated it was a smoke free hotel. The hotel was clean and the staff was great. But this is not a smoke free hotel! We canceled our hotel stay after the first night. The hotel reminded me of being in Las Vegas, NV. When you step out of the room the hallways reek of smoke, our room smelled like chemical masking smoke. It took teeth pulling to get a partial refund from the manager after being treated like a child and insulting me as a guest, she eventually offered to upgrade us to a more spacious corner room on a higher floor. By then, my mind was already made up to leave the hotel. It was a nice gesture but a smoke free hotel should be smoke free, and offering us the upgraded room should’ve been the first priority versus interrogating me like I was making up the smell! If you don’t mind the smoke then this hotel will suit you just fine. The room was very tiny for a king size bed, hot water was on demand and the room was clean. Although, smoke was trapped in the hotel and the hallways are enclosed, hot and stuffy, with no “fresh” air coming in. The location is close by the night food attractions, but any hotel in the old city would do just fine. The old city isn’t that big and getting from gate to gate is easy and quick by foot, tuk tuk, or red truck. Even though I said this place is clean, I rated the cleanliness of this place a one star bcz of the false advertisement of being a smoke free hotel.
