Beatiful beach, great Thai massage! The bungalows actually looked like those in the picture (we had a Superior Bungalow), so my fears about them being run-down were uncalled for. Great view from the beach! However, the breakfast was very poor and the food generally mediocre. They also don't have a bar. Also, if you want to book a snorkeling trip to anywhere just go to a next resort on this beach - you will save yourself a 200baht per person on THE SAME EXACT trip. The major drawback was that you have to go everywhere by taxi boat and these ain't cheap (100/150baht per person one way to Tonsai, and that's close). Phi Phi really is a party island and everything (including shopping and good food) is in Tonsai. So if you want to go partay, remember that you have to take a taxi boat to AND from Tonsai. And after 1am finding a taxi boat from Tonsai back to the resort might be impossible (meaning - there's a high chance nobody's there). You can always walk back (about 40min walk - I was told). I was even told there is light on this jungle road, but we tried for 1hr to find the road FROM the resort to Tonsai (with instructions) and failed miserably. Definitely, it's meant to be the last resort. One other thing that might upset you is that there is a constant noise from all the taxi boats and motorboats on this beach - because most of the traffic coming to or from the island passes it. If you're looking for something more quiet - try the other side of the island. If however you're looking for a night-long party, try Tonsai instead. This location is just perfect for in-betweeners.
