Great experience
The recommend throughout clean and tidy. The staff is extremly friendly and very helpful with advice on the island, organising motorbike, trips and tickets for ferry etc. There are free snorkling masks and they gave us suncream which was a leftover from previous guests. I loved the clean swimming pool for swimming a couple of rounds or just to cool down after a hot day.
The hotel is located not far from the beach. To walk into town, I recommend not to do it during the day as it's too hot but it's fine for the evening as it's a longer walk. Otherwise ask the hotel to drive you (THB 50 per person). Our bedroom was comfortable and had an aircon, TV (which worked,not like in other places before), fridge and a hairdryer. The bed was firm but still ok for us (Asian style but better than other places).
You can buy food and drinks from the restaurant. We had breakfast and it was good. Certainly there might be cheaper places around. There is a laundry shop just outside the hotel which is cheap (THB 39 per kilo) and our washing was clean and ironed in one day. There are 2 × 7/11 shops, one when you turn left and the other one when you turn right (closer).
We rented a motorbike and most roads are in very good conditions, only a couple are good dirt roads which are in more remote locations. We didn't find snorkling very appealing but they have a couple of beautiful sandy beaches. Also there is the Siam Healing Centre only a couple of meters from the hotel (turn right) which offers yoga and other classes. Also Thai massage and healing sessions.
Overall we would definitely stay here again.
