I was very sick while I was staying at the Traveller Inn during New Year's, so my boyfriend and I spent a lot of time in the hotel room. We spent the first two nights in 409, where is spent most of my time on our makeshift double bed, using two singles mattresses. One of the beds was so warped that it sank a considerable amount lower than the other and my boyfriend woke up with major back pains each morning. Thankfully the tv had one English channel that played movies all day and night to keep our minds off of the uncomfortable bed. We were moved into the room across the hall for our last night, that had an actual double bed, but no movie channel. Can't have it all I guess. Other than the bed, the room had everything you need for an average stay in Chiang Mai; there's a 7eleven right across the street and your about a 5 minute walking distance to the Thai Pae gate and the night bazaar. Very good location and the staff kept our room clean during our stay. If you want the basics, it's not a bad place to stay.
