I took one of the most expensive rooms to just pamper myself on my solo birthday trip to Thailand and it was majestic. The view was amazing, but I would have not normally pay that much for a room . The resort has a beautiful scenery that you would never believe it existed from the surrounding area. The surrounding area is just your typical beach neighborhood, but very safe. It was also very close to town and you can easily walk if you wanted to burn those extra calories you gained by eating yummy Thai food. It was also my birthday and the resort made a gelatin heart with fruits and left it in my refrigerator which was a pleasant surprise. I can't complain it was a a great experience.
