Great Hotel, perhaps overlooked at times.
Stayed for 6 nights. Staff was very thoughtful and attentive. Room was big with an impressive bathroom and a huge balcony. The room smelled wonderful, we got to choose our own scented oils and flowers which were replaced and kept fresh every day. The location is a stone's throw from Surin beach, which unfortunately has a lot of garbage washing up on shore , but is otherwise perfect to just sit and watch the ocean. Breakfast was nice, even for us Vegans. Hotel staff made an effort and made sure we had a few savory choices too - but they can do even better ! More wholefoods plant-based options please, and where was the soy / almond / rice / oat milk ?
Our only real complaint was that the aircon compressor, mounted just a few meters from our front door, was at times really loud. It made loud banging noises during it's on/off cycles, especially during the night.
Most guests will probably be used to much better, quieter, modern aircon unit in their homes !
But overall, we loved our stay.
