Low standard for housekeeping
Was traveling with a friend. The cottage we shared was pretty to look at, but inconvenient to use. Examples: no outlets near the beds (there was one on one side, but it did not work), and we had to put the electric kettle on the floor in order to plug it in. The bathroom was large but spartan - no hooks or racks for hanging our towels or swimsuits. The shower drain was dirty and gross. Housekeeping did not do a great job - they forgot to replace our towels and coffee on a regular basis. When I tried to call reception to ask for more towels and coffee, I discovered that the room phone didn't work. Wifi was the worst I've ever encountered after traveling around the region for years! Breakfast buffet was expensive - 350 baht. Much easier to walk down the beach for cheaper and better options.
Apart from all that, the location was pretty nice. It was a 10 minute walk down the beach from the busier part of Sairee, so it was easy to escape the noise and crowds in the evening.
