Really nice and peaceful hotel/resort
We really liked this place and would recommend it to those who don't mind a more rustic feel. With that said, some aspects where too rustic for my liking. As an example, the door to the units remain slightly open since they are warped allowing mosquitos to come in the room. One has to always use lock and key to keep the door closed; rather annoying.
I read somewhere the pool was claimed to be one of the cleanest around. Unfortunately, this was not the case. There where dead bugs and leafs floating around. The tiles where coming off as I touched them in some parts. The pool needed renovation. There where even water hoppers on the surface, alluding that the pool may only be fresh water without any chlorine or other forms of bacteria suppressants.
The unit we had was facing into a very nice courtyard with light ambient music playing throughout the resort, but there is no privacy area outside of your room to sit and enjoy nature, only the common areas, which where very nice.
The restaurant was very good with various traditional and international foods. The staff was exceptional.
