Once you reach this place (warning it is very difficult to find) there is an elegant reception and very helpful staff. Just not quite sure what this place is doing to differentiate itself from some of the great hotels in C Mai i.e. Anantara, Four Seasons.
The hotel sits on a strip of land beside the 'cafe latte' Ping River and there is a small pool area. On the Saturday afternoon that were there a staff training session (how to fold towels and arrange trays.....) dominated the pool area at 2-3pm. Mmmm, who is running this place and for whom??
The breakfasts are great but the menu for lunch and supper is limited and most of the things we ate were far too salty.
We know Rayavadee, in Railay, and were hoping for more of the same. Not the case, unfortunately, but a good Northern weekend break if you are escaping BKK. I would have been hugely disappointed if I had travelled from afar for this.
