Great for a Tropical Escape
We stayed 8 nights in July. Despite it being Low Season / Wet Season the weather was great; sunny and 34 most days with the odd tropical storm after lunch then fine again. The staff are great - so friendly and accommodating. There are lots of activities such as massages and kayaking and snorkeling which are usually a cost add-on but the beach and pool and views are free! The drinks are not a bargain - pretty standard and the restaurant is pretty cheap. We spent about $40 AU per couple for Lunch and Dinner including drinks and its an extensive al la carte menu or buffet. Bottled water provided, rooms are very good and serviced 2 x daily. There are plenty of steps to some rooms so not good for anyone with mobility issues. You can arrange your own Longtail transfers or The Resort has Speed Boats. Its a layback National Park type holiday so don't expect a flash 5 star Resort and be prepared to share the pool and paths with the odd Goanna looking beast, and enjoy the frogs, butterflies and birds. There were no mozzies in July but the beds have netting. Fans and A/C are ok but the power often goes off for short periods. If you don't like sitting at the beach relaxing and staring out to sea, swimming, snorkeling, boating, fishing and getting a pampering, having a drink and enjoying the local hospitality, don't go - We would go again
