Fantastic hotel with 5 star service

My partner and I stayed at Layana for 3 nights during high season. It was an amazing place with 5 star service. They offerred that little bit extra in almost every way. The location was quite good and directly on the beach and so there were a number of adjacent restaurants to choose from. The port was about a 100 baht tuk tuk away and offered a number of little shops and restaurants. Old town is much further.

The only thing I thought wasn't quite 5 star was the restaurant as there were a lot of flys and what appeared to be little attempt to ensure that they didn't land on the breakfast bar. We had lunch one day which would have been magical watching the sunset over the ocean if I wasn't fending off our hungry friends.
