Very good, not super

This was our first time at this Anantara however, we've stayed next door at Hansar on other occasions. I have mixed feelings but overall, would probably choose to stay here again based on pricing. The staff is excellent however the check in process, as noted in other reviews, is a bit slow and cumbersome. Breakfast selections and service were very good however, this was low season and morning time was harried and congested. I can't imagine this place being enjoyable during high season. Rooms are decent however smaller than Hansar. The pool was crowed and pool service, not really up to par with other comparable resort properties in Thailand. The close proximity to Fisherman's village and airport is a plus but again, Hansar, next door might be a better overall choice. I am not opposed to children however, during high season, numerous families would make this place a bad choice. Get a good rate, enjoy the service and figure it is a coin flip with Hansar.
