Brilliant Location, everything else was no go.

The hotel was disappointing for us, we went thinking it would be a lovely jungle hotel with luxury rooms, when we arrived, it turned out that the room resembled a log cabin with the bathrooms smelling of latrine pipes. We then asked to see another room and was shown to a newer part of the hotel (2007 renovations)which was much better and the room was designed quite eloquently.

During our stay however, our bed was invaded by ants and we had to switch rooms for the nights sleep. The staff are friendly but not helpful, they do not have much knowledge of the surrounding attractions.

I would suggest not to stay at this hotel if you are a bit squeamish with bugs and nature. However, the location of the hotel and the jungle elements are quite unique and the peace and quiet was simply divine.
