Nice room but the staff were inconsistent

My first impression of the hotel was good, I was given a complimentary juice and greeted with friendly smiles, I was also impressed with how the room looked.
However, there were a few small things later on which were disappointing. Such as when I was checking out I was asked to fill in a customer survey, and asked several times if I knew why the hotel slippers weren't in my room (these weren't there on arrival), but this stopped when I said I didn't mind them searching my bag.
Also, I asked if they could call me a taxi but it turned out that I had to book it through them so that they could get their commission, when the taxi arrived it looked like somebody's sister had come in the family car and she ended up taking me to the wrong pier, but because of the set up with booking it through the hotel she was unwilling to take me to the correct one, and left me there with a bit of "not my problem" attitude.
