Relaxed vacation
We chose this hotel specifically knowing that we will stay a lot of time inside hotel, and we did not regret this a bit. We had luck with high tide (between Dec 31 and Jan 8 was high tide almost every day), so swimming was very nice. On the last day it was low tide and I walked and walked and could not find a deep spot, it was a little higher than my knee. Hotel is near Lamai and it is also more pleasant and calm place than Chaweng to walk around, not so many people, not so noisy, but it still has a big variety of - restaruants, souvenirs, massages. We were happy with the service at hotel, rooms are cleaned 2 a day, staff is very friendly. Just know, if you want to get out of the hotel, you better call a taxi first, it is about 5-7 min of not a very comfy walk to the main road. Prices inside of hotel for food and spa are high for what you can find in thailand, they are almost like prices in Moscow (the 3'd most expensive city in the world). If you stay in deluxe room, you must walk over public bridge, but it is very short, over a small road with not so many cars, so this was not a problem. Otherwise you can take a villa.
