Great for the beach, not so much for when it rains.

This hotel is a cluster of buildings interconnected with walkways and stairs. While it's great for that tropical feel, the downside is when it rains, there's no covered path to get from the lobby to the rooms. It was raining and windy when I arrived and by the time I got to my room, I was drenched despite the umbrella they lent me. (Rooms also have a couple of umbrellas for guest use for these occasions). Hotel food is pretty good and reasonably priced, and the beach is literally across the street. Not much to do in the immediate vicinity aside from some basic shopping and the beach. Room was very spacious and comfortable. The pool is beautiful and has a great view of the beach. Beach is okay, although it can be crowded. The staff is very welcoming and attentive.
