Great stay in a great location.
We enjoyed a lovely, short stay at this peaceful beach resort. We loved our room with it's four-poster bed and Jacuzzi. It was very private and quiet. The bed was very firm, which is common in Asia.
We were welcomed with cold drinks and refresher towels at check-in. The staff spoke good English and were very helpful.
The ocean view from the Breakfast Room is great and the breakfast selection is adequate,although not extensive.
The restaurant is located just beside the sand of the beach, which is quite romantic of an evening. The menu has a good selection of international and local dishes at reasonable prices. The first night we were there, a barbecue option was available in addition to the a-la-carte menu. We chose the barbecue option and it was quite good.
The gardens are well-maintained, and we loved the Thai look and feel of the place. It wasn't a generic style of hotel that you could find just about anywhere.
The main village/shopping area of Khaolak is about a 10 to 15 minute walk away, and is mostly downhill. We chose to walk there and get a tuk-tuk back, which only cost 100 baht.
The pool is very good for people with children as it has a large shallow area, but the deeper swimming area could be a bit bigger for our liking.
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and are looking forward to coming back!
