the perfect getaway

First time visitors to khaolak. The resort was in beatiful shape and living in a delux bungalow literally next door to the ocean was a dream. The waves crashing was the soothing sound you need in the night time. Bed was unfortunately to hard and I resorted to sleep on the daybed at times. The massive (and I mean it) bungalow bathtub was simply to big as the hot water ran out after about 10 cm of water and is thus useless and more of an ornament to the house. Resturant is so so but decent, however their cheeseburger was kickass. Rent a bike (can be done at hotel) as the distances to travel are pretty far but do try the resturant across the street called everyday2. The padthai is amazing. The resort gym feels a bit lacklustre and needs some more equipment like a smith machine and some proper weights. All in all stellar stay, you won't be disappointed
