Huge deviation from what we expected.
Sunset beach resort is the second hotel we checked in during our 2 weeks holiday in phuket. We stayed for 5d4n @ Sunset Beach Resort. The moment we arrived at Sunset Beach Resort , we thought we had miscommunication with our driver. It doesn't looks like what we see online. Hubby went to double check with the reception, then came back to tell me to forfeit our booking and book somewhere else. I disagree with him as I had paid the full amount. Then we proceed to check in.
The reception staff seriously need a holiday herself. ( not courteous & lack of smile ) She upgraded us to junior suites room which I booked pool access deluxe room. They kept telling me the room is bigger than the one I booked. Then the moment we stepped into the junior suite , I felt not comfortable and asked for a change. Then they gave me back the room that I booked which is pool access deluxe room.
Housekeeping seriously need to attend on job training. The room hygiene is not up to standard.
We were happy with pool access directly from our room. Kid was happy to swim at the pool. We were happy that hotel provide free shutter service to Bangla road every 30min till 9pm .
Breakfast spread and food are OK. We had our breakfast and lunch at hotel. There is nothing much surrounding the hotel. Convenient store just short walk away. There is 'HOME' restaurant serve very nice food just next to convenient store. We walked across the road for the beach.
Stunning Seaview from the cafe restaurant. If the hygiene could improve , it would be a lovely stay for us after all but that was the thing that we have to compromise.
