Quiet Oasis close to hot springs
Excellent stay: 8.0 on 1-10 scale. Very good value, excellent family-managed resort. Room was very comfortable. While the location is secluded and far (25km) from Chiang Mai city, we were seeking something in close proximity to the hot springs and the setting was perfect for our getaway trip. The host/hostesses are part of the family-ownership and they took great care of us. The food was excellent and the restaurant / common building was beautiful and well designed/serene atmosphere. The room was comfortable and spacious - the bath/shower area very clean. Just outside of our villa door was a patio area with seating and a mini thai kitchen great for entertaining our friends who stopped by. The resort is around 2 years old and did not appear to be discovered yet, therefore there was no commotion or noises from other guests. The setting is on a small river/stream which added to the peacefulness. We would certainly come back again for a future trip and overnight stay at the springs. Even not doing an overnight stay, we would stop back for lunch at Papai resort. Highly recommend to friends. The price was reasonable and there are other levels of rooms for less than 1000 baht.
