Bandara Escape
We were were booked on a sailboat day cruise by a shop on the premisis of the hotel near the beach. The rate quoted was 3000 Baht per person. The reservation was then confirmed the next evening for hotel pickup at 7:00am. An another phone call at 5:00pm informed us that the rate had changed to 4200 baht since there were on two people booked. My complaint is if the company that leases space and a building from the Bandara Resort renigues on it's agreement to a Resort guest they should be held responsible and the hoteml should do something to salvage the planned outing. We then could not book another outing because the very late cancellation by this Charter catamaran company. We spoke with the owners who were australian and thought tehy would negotiate the price or something since they obviously failed to honor their price stated by they're own agent at the Bandara resort.
It was really frustrating not to sail for our first time and on our first trip to Samui. As you can see my review of the resort is highly influenced by my experience from the little shop in the back that has the Badara signs all over it but is not a part of the hotel, (acording to resort). And there will be no support from the Bandara if it all goes wrong. Samui is way overpriced any way. The resort is beautiful otherwise.
