We stayed at the Sarojin for 6 nights in March 2010. For us this trip was a bit of a splurge, which meant we had high expectations and were a bit afraid before our arrival about whether or not the Sarojin would live up to these - and were very happy to discover that it did. As already noted, the one thing that really makes the Sarojin stand out is its impeccable service and the way in which every staff member tries to cater for your personal needs from the moment you arrive until the time that you leave. We loved our garden view room (especially the open-space design, the bath tub filled with flowers, the lovely bath products, the silk robes, the outdoor 'sala'/terrace, etc.) and were lucky enough to get a free upgrade to a beautiful Sarojin suite (with an outdoor bath/relaxation pool overlooking the lush green gardens of the resort) on our last night.
Breakfasts were a real treat, with a huge amount of choice from the a la carte menu, and we also enjoyed lunch and dinner at both of the Sarojin's two restaurants (especially the pasta at the Ficus restaurant) when we tried them.
It's very hard to say anything negative about the Sarojin given how much we enjoyed our stay, but if we had to highlight a couple of small issues for improvement it would probable be:
1. Prices of excursions and hotel restaurants - the Sarojin offer some wonderful excursions, but many of these feel slightly overpriced (even when you take the personalised service into account). This led us to decide to book one of our excursions (a boat trip to 'James Bond Island') with a tour operator outside of the hotel, who offered private trips for one-third of the price the the Sarojin was offering.
We very much enjoyed the private cooking class we did with the chef at the Sarojin 'Edge' restaurant, but felt it was slightly overpriced for the approx. 100 Euros per person we paid for the 90 min of cooking. We did enjoy the trip to the local market before the cooking class, but would have preferred a
