avoid this place at all costs
the review stating there was a bad smell was absolutely accurate, and i believe it got worse by the time we stayed there. we were staying in p-4, which not only smelled like raw sewage, it was on the road and was terribly noisy. they refused to move us. the manager's good news was that he was sending us a plumber, the bad news was that the plumber said the bungalows should be closed for business and the plumbing needed to be redone. we found this out after days of complaints. apparently we weren't the only ones to complain either.
the solution? the staff sprayed our room and installed air fresheners. we both got sick after eating from the restaurant the first day we were there, so we did not have the energy to move, or i would have been out the door. it's a mile away from the sister resort, lanta pavilion, which has the restaurant, staff, and pool. there is no phone so if you need anything you'll have to buy a sim card or ride over there on the motorbike. this place was supposed to be a haven, and instead it was a nightmare. when we complained to the owner responded with a whole bunch of lies. absolutely infuriating - now i understand why the majority of the staff are so rude too. avoid it at all costs!
