It was a fun 5night stay, a unique experience to be staying in a hotel over and run by the coffee house. Fantastic location with all conveniences outside along the street, even if the Kaldi is more of a guesthouse than a true full-blown hotel. A charming place, with decent internet and good satellite TV, good in-house food (although you would have to eat dinner fairly early in-house as they close "not too late"). What they do not have in-house in the way of hotel services, the friendly staff is able to direct you to all you need or want next door or down the street. They were entirely able to organise all you needed to be organised. The only trully adverse comment I would have is the very compact bathroom. We trully enjoyed hanging out on the balcony looking down at life on the Sunday walking street, and as a very inner-city-type environment, you have to expect what little noise that manages to seep through the glass doors. Of note is the Kalapela "luxury tea house" next door, we could not resist the tantalising music emanating from this place overheard from our balcony... the wonderful ambience, the exotic teas, the unique, delicious blend of home-made snacks and the friendliness of the Japanese tea master was trully a unique and hedonistic experience here.... Sawadeekap, Tomo-san! We enjoyed our sojourn at the Kaldi, for what we got and what we paid, it was a most gratifying stay.
