almost 5*, but not quite there yet

The good: food and service at dee plee was awesome. Price was a little steep, but we enjoyed the food and attentive service a lot. Resort staff were efficient in general. Room service was quick too.
The not-so-good: location. It is far away from everything else. For a "5 star" resort, they do not station someone at the entrance at all times. We arrived with no one receiving us - we were left standing there for a good 10 minutes with our luggage, completely lost.
The kids club smelled quite bad - we would have loved to stay longer to play but the smell was unbearable.
Our sea view room didn't have much of a view - way too many trees blocking the view. And what kind of 5-star hotel doesn't provide toothbrush in the room omg!?!?!
It was a pleasant stay, but we couldn't quite rate it a full 5 star. There are little details which may not seem important, but do contribute to the whole experience. 4.5 star probably.
