Comfortable hotel on a beautiful island
There is not much accommodation on Ko Kradan, and what there is tends to be expensive. The Reef Resort was a reasonable compromise offering nice accommodation at a competitive price for the location, though it would be judged overpriced elsewhere. Staff were helpful, there was a nice pool, but the best thing was the location with a beautiful coral reef directly offshore.
The Reef Resort does not offer dinner so a few words on the options . Best by some way is the Kradan Beach Resort, with good, cheap food and very good service. The Kalume Village also has good food but the service is chaotic - think Fawlty Towers in Thailand. Staff don't appear to care whether the food reaches the diners or not. The whole bunch could do with a training course at the Kradan Beach Resort to see how it should be done.
Finally there is the Seven seas Resort - service a bit slow and food well overpriced, though if you can afford to stay here you probably don't care about paying more for the food.
