A hint of Arabic style and patronage... Attractive facility, but rigid rules...
This hotel is located at the end of an alley off 2nd street in Patong Beach area, so not too bad of a location, a little over a quarter mile to 1/2 mile (250m to 500m), anyway, around a 15 minute walk. There are plenty of shops around it but the two closest quick marts are expensive. The hotel is clean and modern with an Arabic hint in style and patronage. The pool is rooftop with sunning chairs but small. The rooms are small also, but clean and modern and well equipped. Breakfast was good but not great. Internet was ok. The staff were nice, the manager great, however, the rules of the establishment are rigid. For example, there is no way to get a 2nd key and one must wait for staff to accompany them to the room if your other key is out with your partner. They will not deviate from policy, a drawback in my opinion. Immediately outside, the smell is strong and unpleasant, much as many places used to be in Bangkok years ago, perhaps from grease used in cooking.
