Wonderful Experience!
If you are going to Kaho Sok and are looking for a jungle experience where there are not any motorbikes or traffic noise, this is a great place to be. It is a bit off the main roads leading to the park and this is what makes it so wonderful.
It's worth the extra 5-7 minutes drive time (available from the resort with notice) to be away from the tourists, many food vendors and guide outfits that lead up to the park.
The food is very good, available all day long. Your host Karen, who speaks English, is a wealth of information from elephant sightings (right down the road), fantastic places to see the sun set over the mountains, to trails for hikes outside the park. She really cares about Kaho Sok and the people who live there.
Her helpers are ready to assist with any need or want, always with a smile.
Comfortable bed, no need for the mosquito netting while we were there (early January) and fresh water whenever needed.
