Nice old style budget bungalow joint.

Klong Jark (Waterfall Bay) is the second most southern beach on Lanta and one of the more attractive if you like less development and alaid back atmosphere. The waterfall itself can be reached in under an hour of walking (35mins if you go part way on a moto) and is worth the effort. KJ Bungalows is typical of the old style budget beach resorts so common in the past. My rattan wall thatch roof bungalow had just enough room for 2 + gear, comfy firm bed on a platform, ok insect net, supplied blanket too hot - take a sleeping bag liner for pre dawn cool, quiet fan, poor lights except on veranda, western wc flushed by bucket, cold water shower, no clothes storage. Restaurant prices 20% above what I regard as true budget bungalow level, beer prices good. Staff very nice, service good except they forgot to order a taxi on check out. Overall I felt the place slightly overpriced for shoulder season.

Perfect beach hideaway.

No fuss (or frills) beautiful beachfront
Old style resort bang on the (stunning) beach. Lovely friendly staff. Not modern or flashy but just what you need to relax.
