The best staff!
We chose Klong Jark Bungalow because it was said to have great atmosphere, helpful staff and a more secluded beach. All this was true. The owner Sue was probably the most helpful person we have met in Thailand, she learned our names, came to check up on us each morning in the restaurant, she made sure we got a new fan when the old one was noisy, arranged taxis for us and even called our next accomodation to check if our reservations had gone through. Sue and the wonderfully friendly bartenders were what made our stay in this accomodation special.
We loved the secluded beach, though the sand was not white and the water deep blue, not turquoise. The current was strong, but the sea was great to swim in. There weren't many restaurants in the vicinity, but the hotel restaurant was fine and the bar great. We really missed good music, though. Almost all songs were reggae or dance remixes and covers. This, and the mosquito net which was a bit too small, is the only thing we didn't like.
