It was a last minute booking to fill a gap between returning to Koh Samui or remaining on Koh Tao for an extra couple of days, we chose to return to Samui and wanted to try someplace other than Lamai from our previous week. We chose Bo Phut for closer proximity to the airport. The Bo Phut area is certainly off the tourist trail, but after almost three weeks of travel we wanted to just stay near the hotel for rest and relaxation. So if you think the area is covered by tee shirt shops and souvenir stores, you chose the wrong area. We were only there for two nights and found someplace to have dinner difficult, we found a delicious restaurant nearby, and ate there both nights, neither disappointed. The hotel room was a 10 out of 10, service and staff were very friendly and helpful. The room was very spacious, king sized bed fantastically comfortable, bathroom very modern, spacious and clean. We even asked for a late checkout as our flight was later in the afternoon, they gave us an extra hour at no charge and did it with a smile on their face. Fantastic two days, thank you Punnpreeda and all your staff. Of the six hotels we have stayed at, this one was by far our greatest experience in Thailand. Might I suggest, if like us, you are travelling to Bangkok after reading my Punnpreeda review. DO NOT stay at the WATANA Hotel. Where the Punnpreeda is a 10, Watana is a 1. I can't wait to write my review on this dump when we leave Bangkok!
