Overrated hotel

Pros: - Good location. The hotel has close proximity to Kata beach, although you have to walk through a stinky sewage canal to get there. There's a Family Mart next to the hotel and a 7-Eleven is just 2 minutes away. It's also close to several restaurants, salons, massage parlours and a chemist's (pharmacy). - Had a seamless check-in process even though I arrived around midnight. They upgraded me to a room with pool access for one night, which was a nice gesture. Unfortunately, I didn't get to use the swimming pool as I was really exhausted from flying.
Cons: - The room that they gave me on my first night wasn't really clean, I couldn't sleep well that night because of itching from sleeping in the bed. I didn't complain because I knew I was only going to stay there for one night. - In the morning, I called the receptionist whether they wanted me to move to the room I originally booked (deluxe room). At first they told me that I could stay in the same room for the rest of my stay. When I agreed and tried to continue my sleep, they rang me after 10 minutes and told me to move immediately to another room. When I arrived at the new room, a housekeeper was in the middle of preparing the room and I had to wait a little bit until I could use the room. - Shower has decent water pressure but the temperatures fluctuate every other minute, which could be a little frustating. - It wasn't a big deal but sliding doors in the balcony of my second room wouldn't open. Even then, I still found mosquitoes in the room. - On the second day of my stay, I returned to my room just to find that housekeepers didn't clean it even when I had the "Please Make Room" sign hung on the door knob. Only after I requested the receptionist to restock water bottles, they offered whether I wanted my room to be cleaned. I turned down nicely as I needed to rest after spending a long time outside. - During check-out, they falsely accused me of being responsible for a missing item. The two female staff at t
