Disappointing

I was pretty disappointed with this hotel. We have been travelling Asia and staying in budget accommodation for 6 weeks, so it is not that the standard was below what I would normally look for. It is just that for the hotel to have received high ratings (currently 7.7) I would have expected something pretty nice. I'm not sure how these ratings can be legitimate. The hotel doesn't have a good 'vibe'. The staff weren't exactly welcoming and I felt somewhat uncomfortable during my stay. The mattress has a leather protector on it and the sheet kept riding off. The room was dark. For the price, having facilities like tv, air conditioning, bar fridge is pretty good..... however we relocated to a hotel for half the price, less facilities, equally good location, and a much nicer 'feeling'... really pleasant staff and more open/bright, which in my mind is more important than air con, tv etc.

No complaints!
