Ideally located and nicely decorated. A lot of space so it doesn't feel cramped. I don't have any cons about this place if you want something nice and spacious in a good location.

I paid 70 USD per night on Agoda. For that, I got a large, clean and efficient room with breakfast. The place reminded me of an Ibis hotel in Spain outside of Alicante on a busy road, but that Ibis hotel cost only half as much. For the same price I paid here in Thailand, I stayed at an excellent 5-star hotel in Kalamata, Greece across the street of the beach just as Paradise Hill is across a busy street from the beach (and no view of the beach).
Coming to a remote island in Thailand I expected to pay a lot less or get more for the same money.
Another thing that bothered me was the fact that even this new hotel has no solar panels or solar water heaters and the water for the shower is heated electrically; so is the air conditioner. Looking around Koh Chang you get a sense that the environmental impact of mass tourism won't be sustainable very much longer. It looks like a 3rd world country with prices to match many parts of Europe, except for cheap food and cheap beer.
