Perfect Location for restaurants, bars etc.

The Baan Chaweng was the choice for Koh Samui since it is very close to the main nightlife spot of the island. There are plenty of good restaurants, bars and clubs. Also shopping fans will find many things to do! Try out the restuarnts on the beach at night, they are especially for couples wonderful! Although they are a bit pricey it is worth for the atmosphere.

The hotel itself is not high end but offers everything people need. Good breakfast, clean and comfortable rooms and bathrooms. Staff are not so friendly, but I think this is due to the proximity to the nightlife area.
