The good: the staff, they really do everything to make you comfortable. The outside walkpaths and gardens are continuously being taken care of. The staff at reception all speak decent English!
The bad: a mosquito infestation when we arrived in late May. In the room we killed 7 in one hour and still got stung 4 times or so. The toilet usually only flushed pee, not fecies. The plungebath has a jacuzzi funtion that can't be turned on or off manually, you have to call front desk for that. The whole island is riddled with stray cats and dogs yet there were none at briza resort. I suspect they poison, shoot or remove them by other means. The food is at the restaurant is bland, better eat outside the resort. Last but not least, I needed to make some calls from their landline in the room which they said costed 10thb/min., they charged me nearly 700thb (24€ atm!) for less than 15min for 3 calls saying 'calls to bangkok are international calls'.
Never again.
