There was one girl - the receptionist in particular. On the day I checked in, after seeing the room that I had reserved, I decided to get an upgrade to one of the villas closer to the beach. I had to pay in advance the top up which I thought was not very friendly but did as she requested. I handed her my credit card and she said their machine was not working hence, I had to pay by cash. I asked this being the case, she let me pay when I check out assuming that the machine would've been repaired/rectified by then. She insisted that no, I had to pay by cash upfront. I told her I had apportioned my cash for my days in Samui for my food and shopping. She very rudely retorted and asked how can I not have enough cash if I was there for a holiday and how would I make it through the days. I was too shocked by her attitude to tell her off then. But on looking back, she was totally out of line and rude!!! I paid by cash and had to limit my spending for the rest of my days in Samui.
