Quite right on the beach
you get what you pay for. this is one of the more budget options for bungalows on/near the beach. the rooms are not of great quality and smelled musty. the bathroom was large but the big deep tub is of no use and when you shower it didn't drain well so you would be standing in a pool by the time you finished.
i wouldn't recommend this place if you like to spend time in your room. this room is only suitable for sleeping.
regarding the beach. it smelled terrible! i think there is a sewer nearby that may or may not be emptying into the ocean. no one was swimming here. their was some construction and piping being installed in the area so hopefully they are working on solving this problem.
breakfast was the standard buffet with bacon, sausage, eggs, toast etc. nothing stellar. just what you need to get your day started!
if you just like lazying on the beach and by the pool and the price is right for your budget then i could recommend this place. if you want a nice room and a swimmable beach, look elsewhere.
the lamai area has a few bars and party spots but if you like being in the action you should stay at chaweng. (didn't make it to the beach there though so i don't know how it compares)
