Not the best location to stay in Chaweng
South of Chaweng. Right between the tourist stuff and parties up north, and Lamai beach that's far away down south. Neither are near. About 30 minutes walk to Arkbar and a lot more to Big Buddha. If you take a taxi, it could cost a lot just for that distance. So basically, it's not a good location if you wish to explore or go for parties. Only stay around this area if you don't plan to travel around at all and only want the beach there.
And about the resort itself? Let's just say that they only cool thing about it was my ocean view room which was facing the small, dirty pool and the beautifully quiet beach. The transparent entrance was cool at first but there's no way to close the curtains completely when I was headed out. The bathroom was spacious but nothing was working well. I had to get creative to get the sink to do its job. The bottles of mineral water weren't free (come on!). Both staffs at night and in the morning I talked to had no idea where Lipa Noi was and they simply assume it's Lamai. Fortunately I didn't miss my boat because of this. The taxi service were expensive as hell and non-negotiate-able.
