Idyllic little beachfront hotel

This is my second jaunt to Samui Honey Cottages. I returned because I love the smaller size of the place; this is not bustling resort but a quiet beachfront location with friendly staff, proximity to good restaurants, a slower pace, an infinity pool, great price, and simple comforts like air conditioning and clean linen without any over the top fuss. I love the garden villas even if they are showing their age because the villas are simple, comfortable and right on the beach. The day after I arrived I encountered two heinous guests yelling at staff and demanding they should get a garden villa because they asked for one on Agoda, but an Agoda booking does not ensure a garden villa (something to keep in mind and something that can cause confusion), however an Agoda booking usually nabs you a refurbished poolside room which is much fancier than the garden villas. I really love this quiet little spot and it is perfect if you are seeking relaxation away from the crowds.
