Ghost town, start up issues, ok-ish

"Hurry" Agoda yells: almost no rooms available! Relax: this huge hotel was a ghost town. Hardly any guests. Rooms are small but ok, big pool with nothing for children but completely empty bar blasting pop music from early to late for a non existing party crowd. . Walking distance to beach (avoid the shuttle - it takes a huge detour, not sure why). Hotel demands a cash deposit: not only very outdated but also annoying (if you check out and leave the country you are stuck with a large sum). Staff I am sure is trying but not very efficient: we had multiple incidents where requests were ignored, promises were made but not followed up on and the cherry on the cake was the airport transfer we arranged with the staff for the next day. Taxi did not show, morning staff have no clue there was a booking, had to find a taxi, we almost missed our flight. Not great.

Brand new hotel with a lot of facilities. Breakfast is very complete with plenty of choice. Employees are nice and willing to attend.
