great honeymoon getaway--get the free breakfast!
finished our leg of our honeymoon in Thailand here for 1 week. We had a slight issue with the room not being ready when we checked in. As a courtesy we were given free beverages to relax with at the pool bar. The room was clean but we noticed an ant problem the 2nd day during our stay. The housekeeper came and sprayed the room liberally--this did kill the ants but probably not the safest thing to be inhaling. Aside from this, we had an amazing time in Lamai. Great street food abound just outside the resort. Our favorite part about being here was the fantastic breakfast buffet that was free during our stay as well as the hydra pool we could lounge in right at our room. I can't comment on the lunch/dinner/spa but it appeared overpriced from the places you can enjoy outside with a short walk from the resort on the street. Overall, this is a higher end resort so probably not for budget travelers, but is very family friendly. We would absolutely come back!
