We wanted to stay within the wall in the Old City, there are many hostels and hotels packed into the northwest corner. This hotel is a little tucked away from the busiest area of town, but everything is within walking/biking/short taxi ride away. The hotel is well-kept, clean, and very nice. The bed/pillows/linens were the softest we had come to find thus far in our backpacking adventure (and wonderfully HOT shower water!). Many places offer breakfast with the booking and LeeChiang goes above and beyond. You get 6 options to choose from that are made for you each morning. (Not just yogurt and toast, but a complete breakfast i.e. Fried rice, eggs, fresh fruit, french toast, coffee, tea, etc.) The women who work the front counter are extremely helpful and want you to have a good stay. The young woman who runs the desk is able to help you book tours, taxis, and give great advice. Her English is excellent. We had only booked one night but ended up staying 4 nights. Very happy with our stay. Also, they have bicycles you can borrow which is the best way to tour the town. AND, if you are there for the Sunday Night Walking Market, you are in the best part of town for that. Just a short walk away. Highly recommend. Great service and facility for the money.
