Was there for meditation. Good Instructor and nice place around to practice meditation.

I traveled here with a friend. We were in Phuket to train at Tiger Muay Thai, and we had no licenses for riding a bike or driving.
We had originally intended to stay at Cocoville Phuket but had booked Coco Retreat & Spa over a confusion in the naming. Also, the map on their website indicates that they are really close in proximity to Cocoville and Tiger Muay Thai camp, which is quite deceptive. In reality, you would have to drive a whole loop around up to the main road and then into Soi-Ta-iad road to get to the camp.
When we reached the hotel, it was quite empty and dead. It is located at the dead end of the road, and had Big Buddha mountains in the backdrop - quite an isolated spot. There were no restaurants or small food shops on the street near the hotel. There is a cafeteria within the hotel compounds, but it looked deserted and we had heard that the food was not good there.
The room looked beautiful and romantic, overlooking the poolside. There is a strange sofa in front of the bed, which looks out of place. The bathroom had a lovely design to it, but there was still dirt, bits of used toilet paper and crud at the back of the toilet sea - not that clean. A big downer was the amount of mosquitoes waiting to feast on us in our room. We booked in and realised how difficult it would be to make our way to the camp and back.
We immediately booked rooms at the Fusion Resort and booked out of this one. It is a far better choice for those training at Tiger, and it did not have mosquitoes in the room, or even at the poolside. Do note that we were unable to receive any refunds for cancelling the booking we made for the next day.
