Surprised, a very nice hotel.

This hotel is outside the main Chiangmai city, but it's only a quick ride before you get to the city. My room was nice and roomy, and I had a balcony. The smell of street food fills the room in the evening and beckons you to explore the market nearby. Only 5 minutes away, this market is better than the night bazaar, as that place has become too commercial. I don't speak Thai, and the market sellers didn't speak english, and that's were the fun begins. The hotel is located in a quiet neighbourhood, and felt quite safe. You feel that you are in a Thai area, not a farang street.
Breakfast is nice, the rooms are clean and the staff are friendly, what more do you need.
