New year family and friends in storm
Great grounds and location on hillside mountain. Traditional wooden accommodation with some great views of the beach and sea.
We booked in high season so paid top price over 12000 bharts per night. Due to storm Pankut we were marooned in the hotel for the 5 days and was not able to visit other parts of the Island.
Breakfast and evening Buffett were well presented and tasty with a large choice of food.
The 5* hotel also came with 5*prices that at times did not justify their 17% service charge and tax. Very friendly and polite staff as everywhere else you travel in Thailand regardless of star rating of hotels. The waiters and front line staff need to be more tentative in clearing tables and asking guests if they need more tea/coffee.
Reception staff and check in process is very good.
Management and staff handled the storm very well without panicking guests.
Yoga classes are only for max of 8 persons, odd for such a big hotel. Ideal for honeymooners and couples.
