We Just Say “No” …
Upon check in, after asking for a quiet room, I was told that this is a “family hotel”. I found the statement entirely odd. Every hotel should be welcoming to families and all others.
When I was placed in a room next to the kids’ water slide, I asked for a change of room to a quieter area on the property, and this became an exercise of endurance. Reason after reason was given why I could not be moved (during low season). After some persistence, I was given the option to move three days later, more than half way through my stay. In a hotel with hundreds of rooms spread across four different building, I have to believe that something more could have been done to accommodate.
