Nice beach, hotel could use some renovation

It seems as though this was once a very nice hotel. Front of House staff and restaurant staff were lovely and very helpful, the gardens and the beach are lovely, but the rooms need some real attention to restore them to former glory. Stains all over the walls and ceilings, unwashed curtains encrusted with what looked like years worth of dead bugs and stains, chipped tiles and mirrors in the bathroom, the accommodation just hasn't been looked after and the cleaning staff aren't really what you'd call thorough with dirty plates and cups just put back in the cabinet without being washed. This is an okay option given the nice location and friendly staff if you can get a budget rate to reflect the disrepair of the rooms, otherwise there is better value to be had elsewhere on the island.
